Danny Kang was a Principal at Lovell Minnick Partners, a financial services focused private equity firm with approximately $800 million under management. Danny’s responsibilities included taking a lead role in sourcing portfolio investments, developing investment structures, negotiating and executing transactions, working with management teams to execute on corporate strategy and overseeing the realization of investments.
During his twelve years at Lovell Minnick Partners, Danny worked on numerous transactions, financings and actively supported portfolio company management teams in building their businesses. His experience in private equity ranges from early-stage investing to middle-market buyout transactions in the asset management industry. Danny was also a key member of the investment team that managed a CalPERS sponsored private equity partnership focused on providing growth capital and portfolio assets to asset management firms. Danny began his career in the investment banking department of Putnam Lovell Securities in 1997 and participated in the analysis and due diligence efforts on transactions such as the sale of Founders Asset Management to Mellon Bank. Danny joined the private equity group on its formation in 1999.
Danny received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, cum laude, in Business Administration with a major in Finance.
