Takashi Moriuchi was a senior member of Cedar Hill Capital Partners, a financial services sector focused alternative asset management firm. Takashi’s primary responsibility was to lead the expansion of the firm’s private equity business.
Prior to joining Cedar Hill, Takashi was a member of Morgan Stanley’s Firm Strategy and Execution Group that reported directly to the CFO and co-Presidents of the Firm. His role included: developing international and domestic market expansion plans, sourcing global acquisition and strategic opportunities, creating organic business initiatives, negotiating and executing acquisitions/sub-advisory/stake investments for alternative, broker-dealer, wealth management and traditional asset management businesses.
Takashi’s nine years of experience at Lovell Minnick Partners and its predecessor company Putnam Lovell Securities is what attracted Morgan Stanley to hire him. Lovell Minnick Partners is a private equity firm focused on the financial services industry and invests capital in asset management companies, business services firms, financial product distribution platforms, financial technology and other related businesses. While at Lovell Minnick his duties included: sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities; guiding development of analytic business models; sourcing appropriate debt providers; developing term sheets and negotiating final investment agreements; reviewing all legal transaction documents; working with portfolio companies’ management teams as a board member to execute business strategies; and managing strategic sale processes during realization of investments. Takashi was also a key member of the investment team that managed a CalPERS sponsored private equity partnership focused on providing growth capital and portfolio assets to asset management firms.
Takashi received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
