For the most recent nineteen years prior to joining Estancia, Darrin Jeffries served as an attorney and partner (15 years) in the law firm of Plattner, Schneidman, Schneider & Jeffries, P.C. Darrin’s corporate clients were representative of a broad spectrum of industries including finance, law, medicine, manufacturing, real estate, construction, insurance and others. In addition to serving closely held businesses and their owners, Darrin also represented high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families in issues of personal, estate, tax and investment planning.
Darrin advised his corporate clients and their owners on a wide range of transactional, tax, accounting and compliance matters serving as corporate counsel and trusted advisor. Darrin also served as M&A counsel overseeing in excess of 100 mergers, acquisition and/or other strategic exits ranging in size from $500k to $100mm. Darrin regularly counseled clients regarding contracts involving the business and its owners including operating and buy/sell agreements, compensation plans and agreements, private and institutional financing, pension and other qualified (and non-qualified) retirement plans.
Darrin advised his individual and “family office” clients with respect to effective estate plans ranging from basic testamentary documents to more complex entities such as revocable/irrevocable living trusts, family partnerships, irrevocable life insurance trusts, charitable remainder trusts, as well as private and public foundations and other multi-generational vehicles.
Darrin received both his Bachelor of Science degree (Accounting) and his Juris Doctor degree (graduating as a Willard H. Pedrick Scholar) from Arizona State University. Darrin was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 1995. He is a member of the Arizona and American Bar Associations.
